[3/6] Testsuite fix - remove unneeded code

    I've examined the testuite in several ways, and *as far as I can tell*, this
    piece of code does not have any effect on the result of the testuite.
    
    The link in the comment haven't helped me to better understand why is the
    code here.
    
    To the future maintainer:
    Should I be proven wrong, and the code is needed after all, please provide
    a better explanation why is it there.
