From 3f218d10c3ffd85916f07febf3e4bbd8fe07bedf Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Ray Strode Date: Nov 08 2017 13:52:40 +0000 Subject: update spec file description The old description was wrong: it said it provides a graphical login screen. But that's not true, the login screen is provided by gnome-shell. This commit updates the description to be more technically accurate. --- diff --git a/gdm.spec b/gdm.spec index 5604a17..cf4775e 100644 --- a/gdm.spec +++ b/gdm.spec @@ -88,8 +88,14 @@ Obsoletes: gdm-plugin-fingerprint < 1:3.2.1 Provides: gdm-plugin-fingerprint = %{epoch}:%{version}-%{release} %description -GDM provides the graphical login screen, shown shortly after boot up, -log out, and when user-switching. +GDM, the GNOME Display Manager, handles authentication-related backend +functionality for logging in a user and unlocking the user's session after +it's been locked.
