+ SHA512 (docopt-0.6.2.tar.gz) = 228661924329682786b143f414c9df911016963cdc91ae6eba833285144e71744df507321a476b51f779e3ea270af6dc4e50edb8b0ee99674c19acccaab57a03

This merges with latet master with change added in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-docopt/pull-request/2. This is required to add my tool to EPEL 8 (CEKit project).

I agree with the epel8 part, but the removal of Python 2 support is definitely premature as I pointed out in my reply here: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-docopt/pull-request/2#comment-29973

We are not able to build Python 2 package for EPEL at this moment because of missing dependencies, example build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=37455277. I'm not even sure if we should build Python 2 packages for EPEL 8 at all, we should promote Python 3.

Promoting Python 3 is one thing. Breaking legacy apps is something else completely. And RHEL8 still does provide Python 2.

About the failure.. have you tried adding python2 as an explicit BuildDependency?

Specifying better BR does the trick. I'll open a PR to master to include this change there too and rebase this one.

I guess I missed this pull request. There is an epel8 branch now, along with a corresponding build. If there is anything in this that is still needed please open a new pull request.
