  • Rebase python-pebble to version 5.0.6
  • Add a macro to replace the package name

I'm not sure why you chose to introduce the macro for the name. But that's a matter of personal preference.

However, I'd recommend making this two separate commits: 1) Updating the package and 2) introducing the macro. That way, it becomes easier reverting the change introducing the macro, should the maintainer prefer not to use it.

Change looks good. Now we need to find a proven packager to merge it or wait for the package to be transferred, so interested parties can gain permission to merge.

It's a patch release, so dependent packages cvis and python-bluepyopt should not be impacted by the update.

Sorry for the delay here folks. We should have this moving along soon.


I've got admin access to the package now. I'll go ahead and merge + build this. Thanks very much for your help here @prgutier :)
