Before starting the web application, you must perform two steps.

(1) Initialize the database:

  # /usr/bin/graphite-manage syncdb --noinput

(2) Build the index:

  # /usr/bin/graphite-build-index

(3) Change ownership:

  # /usr/bin/chown -R apache:apache /var/lib/graphite-web
